The client & summary
Reza Razavi is a German author and thought leader writing about change, transformation and artificial intelligence. The core objective was to move from a sales-driven personal branding site to a minimalist, content-first platform: a digital space for lasting ideas and an archive of his writing.
The challenge
The brief was unusual: minimal information about the person, maximum focus on the ideas. The site needed a calm structure that can grow into an archive of articles that stay relevant, and the author had to be able to publish on his own. Later he also wanted the site translated and prepared for search.
Our solution
Our team built the platform in spring 2026 and added the "rooms" concept and an SEO setup in the summer.
Discovery and scope
The client supplied a detailed project brief and a premium theme as the starting point. The site should be clear in structure and focus on content rather than self-promotion.
Design
The first draft was ready in early May 2026, followed by a revision based on the client's PDF and migration in mid-May. In June he asked for four follow-up pages, the "rooms": a reading room with his blog, an image room with tiles that open to reveal text, a listening room and a resonance room. Our team built them from the client's Google Stitch concept.
Build and handover
The site runs on WordPress. Our team set up the blog categories and wrote a step-by-step guide for publishing posts, so a new article appears in the right place as soon as it is published. An existing HTML element from the client was turned into a reusable widget with a link option per term.
Phase two: SEO setup
From late August to September 2026 we completed the SEO scope: responsiveness after the client's content was added, a multilingual plugin and translation, local landing pages, Google Business Profile access and redirects between his two domains. His questions about working with the site independently were answered in written tutorials.
Challenges we solved
Designing a site that deliberately says little about its owner and still feels personal. The rooms concept gives visitors different ways into the same body of thought.
Content first
The brief moved away from a personal branding or sales-driven website toward a minimalist, content-first platform: a digital space for lasting ideas, where thoughtful articles remain relevant over time instead of disappearing in the fast-paced content stream. The framework was fully set up with minimal content so the author could add his own texts later.
Design with tranquillity
Design was extremely important to the client, but not in the sense of flashy effects. The aim was tranquillity, aesthetics and readability. The header and menu navigation of the chosen theme were what he liked most, so they were kept as the backbone of the site. Colours follow the client's colour concept, and headlines use Playfair Display.
Structure and languages
The structure covers home, about, work, blog with a single article template and contact, plus the imprint, privacy policy and terms. The site is available in English and German, and the contact form was set up to be GDPR compliant.
