The client & summary
HeinzCars is the personal platform of a Swiss dealer specialising in classic cars and legendary sports cars, with an online shop for merchandise. The core objective was a refreshed website that keeps its structure and features but looks more modern, with a vehicle detail page inspired by international classic car marketplaces, followed by an SEO setup.
The challenge
The client wanted to keep the existing layout and all features exactly as they were, changing colours and fine-tuning the design. Product photos carried an old logo, and the site was receiving spam comments. The SEO work also had to follow new content and a new meta description the client defined.
Our solution
Our team completed the redesign and SEO setup between May and June 2026.
Discovery and scope
The brief included the client's project document with colour changes and structural tweaks, and a classic car auction listing as inspiration for the vehicle detail page.
Design
The first draft was ready on 18 May 2026. Two revision rounds implemented the client's PDFs of adjustments. Our team replaced the hero section on the home page, fine-tuned responsiveness and added the image count to each vehicle page. Before migration the new logo was enlarged in the header and given a background so it displays cleanly.
Build and launch
The site runs on WordPress with Elementor, WooCommerce and JetEngine. Because old photos contained the previous logo, our team asked for fresh images without it. For speed, 11 unused plugins were deactivated, and security and anti-spam measures were recommended. The site was migrated to the client's hosting in June 2026, followed by a paid round of updates.
Phase two: SEO setup
From 8 June 2026 our team ran an SEO audit, implemented technical and on-page SEO, connected Google Search Console, set up Google Analytics and Rank Math, and added meta titles, descriptions and image alt tags. The main meta description was then updated to the exact wording the client provided.
Challenges we solved
Modernising without changing: keeping every existing feature while giving the site a cleaner, faster look.
Inspiration without changing the layout
The owner liked how a large classic car marketplace presents vehicles with generous picture galleries, even though HeinzCars does not run auctions, and the big header image and menu of a classic car rally site. Our team adapted both ideas with a sticky menu and a slightly smaller header image, while keeping the existing structure and features exactly as they were. Product, cart and checkout were also refined for a more high-end experience.
SEO based on the owner's own concept
The owner planned new content and a new strategy for the site, and supplied an SEO concept of his own. Meta descriptions and on-page optimisation were aligned to that concept, including the main meta description worded exactly as he specified, so search results show his own positioning of the platform.
