The client & summary
Subunternehmer Vermittlung is a German placement service that connects companies with subcontractors and skilled workers across 57 trades. The client already runs related placement sites. The core objective was a content-rich website that presents every trade clearly, makes the pricing model obvious and turns visitors into staffing requests.
The challenge
The site had to work for a very practical audience, from bricklayers to site managers, so buttons had to be large and navigation simple. The client relies on search traffic, so every page needed substantial content. A key message had to stand out: request once and receive several offers.
Our solution
Our team built the website between May and June 2026 and refined it over five rounds.
Discovery and scope
The brief referenced a trades staffing site for structure and two subcontractor databases for the teams section. The client wanted the site to match the look of his other placement sites.
Design
The first draft was ready on 22 May 2026. Internal quality checks asked for longer pages, larger and more clickable buttons and two-colour backgrounds instead of photos where text needed contrast. In the first revision the client asked for more content in every section and for the "request once, receive several offers" message to be prominent.
Build and launch
The site runs on WordPress with Elementor. It lists the trades from structural work to carpentry, plastering, scaffolding and facades, each with a "Fachkräfte anfragen" button linked to the request form, and form submissions redirect to a thank-you page. After migration the site stayed in coming-soon mode until the client was ready. Later rounds switched the admin to German, activated Elementor Pro, removed unneeded plugins and matched the text width to one of the client's sister sites.
Challenges we solved
Scale and consistency: 57 trades, each with the same request path, and a layout that stays easy to use for people who are not on a computer all day.
A lead-generation site, not a marketplace
The client already runs two established placement websites. The new site was deliberately not a marketplace or comparison portal, but a dedicated, aesthetically focused lead-generation website built with Elementor, modelled on the design and user experience of one of the client's existing sites and extended to cover all trades.
57 trades as dynamic content
Instead of creating a separate static page for each trade, our team implemented the trades as a custom post type with a dynamic archive and a single-trade template, and added 57 trade entries. New trades can be added as a single entry, and every trade page follows the same structure and design automatically.
A simple funnel for German companies
German companies looking for subcontractors are guided through a short, optimised funnel in which they answer a few questions about their project. This lets the client qualify requests efficiently and respond with suitable offers. The teams section was structured along the lines of established subcontractor databases.
Colours and images
The site uses high-quality images and a clear colour scheme matched to the client's other placement sites, with contrasting colour blocks where text needs to stand out.
