The client & summary
The Wulfeniahütte on the Dolinza Alm is a self-catering mountain hut in the Carnic Alps in Austria, rented to hikers and holiday guests. The owner rents out this one property. The core objective was a professional landing page that presents the hut attractively and makes booking inquiries easy.
The challenge
Hut rentals are dominated by large portals. The owner had drafted his own ideas for the site and needed a professional version that stands out, follows Austrian legal requirements and works well on mobile. He was also still deciding on a domain and on social media accounts for the new brand.
Our solution
Our team built and launched the landing page in about three weeks in April 2026.
Discovery and scope
The brief included the owner's own draft, three hut-rental portals as competitors, a GDPR-compliant contact form and the legal pages under Austrian law. The owner had already bought an Elementor licence, which our team installed.
Design
The first draft was ready on 10 April 2026, with a sticky header that changes colour on scroll. Three revision rounds followed: removing file names that appeared as image captions, removing social icons for accounts that did not exist yet, and fixing the mobile menu so its sections stay visible while scrolling.
Build and launch
The site runs on WordPress with Elementor, with sections for the hut, its equipment, a gallery and contact. During the project our team advised on the domain choice and on keeping the brand name consistent across the domain and the new Instagram account. The site was migrated to wulfeniahuette.at on Metanow Cloud at the end of April.
Challenges we solved
Small details decided the result: clean image captions, social links only where accounts exist and a mobile menu that behaves properly make a one-property site feel as polished as a portal.
