Two Countries, One Brand, One Problem
Ami's Beauty is a beauty brand operating as two separate legal entities — one in Albania, one in Italy. Same brand, completely different markets, different logistics, different payment realities, different couriers, different regulatory environments. When they came to us, a significant portion of their team's time was being consumed by processes that should have been fully automatic.
Everything Was Being Done by Hand
Every order going to their Albanian courier, Green Post, was being processed manually. Someone on the team would take the order from Shopify and create the shipment by hand. Delivery statuses had to be pulled and updated manually. When the courier collected cash on delivery, those amounts were being compared against Shopify orders in spreadsheets. Financial reports were being built from scratch each time. Across two countries, this was adding up to a serious operational burden.
Two Stores, Built for Two Markets
We started by building two Shopify stores from the ground up — amisbeauty.al for the Albanian market and amisbeauty.it for Italy. Both stores carry the same brand identity while being fully adapted to their respective markets — local payment methods, local logistics, local customer experience. A membership system with tiered pricing logic was implemented across both.
The Integration That Changed Everything
Alongside the stores, we built a custom Shopify application that connects directly to Green Post's API and eliminates every manual step in the Albanian fulfillment process. When a customer places an order, the shipment is created automatically. Tracking updates sync back into Shopify on their own. When the courier collects cash on delivery, that amount is reconciled against the order total without anyone touching it — and any discrepancy gets flagged immediately. Reports are generated inside the app, broken down by market and delivery agent, ready to use without any additional formatting or manual input.
One Brand, Fully Connected
Online payments are connected across both stores. The brand is fully synchronized across two legally separate entities operating in two different countries.
Global Platforms Make Global Assumptions
The biggest platforms in the world make global assumptions about how commerce works. Shopify assumes online payment. It assumes courier integrations exist. It assumes your fulfillment process looks like everyone else's. When your market operates differently — as Albania does, where cash on delivery is the dominant model — you have two options. You adapt your business to fit the platform, or you build infrastructure that fits your market.
This project was the second option. And that's what made the difference.
