The client & summary
SMK Röhrsdorf GmbH is a German precision manufacturing company specialising in CNC machining. The core objective was a compact, professional website that presents its manufacturing capabilities and careers and generates B2B inquiries.
The challenge
The brief asked for a light, modern and rounded design with three pages, and no strict colour guidelines. After the first draft the client felt the design was a little cold, so warmth and contrast had to be added.
Our solution
Our team worked on the website between April and September 2026.
Design
The first draft was ready on 21 April 2026, based on a design concept, with pages for metal and plastic machining and careers. A red accent colour and more contrast gave the industrial design more warmth.
Revisions
Over four revision rounds our team simplified the contact form and added phone and subject fields, kept the header visible while scrolling with Facebook, Instagram and TikTok icons, linked the careers menu item to apprenticeships, moved the client logos section and the careers box, and added a hero video.
Launch
The site was migrated to the live domain in September 2026.
Colour decisions
The company had no strict colour guidelines, so our team evaluated its existing colours. The main company blue stays dominant, the red accent was kept after review to add warmth and signal important elements, and the additional dark blue and grey tones were used only where they fit. The primary blue logo is used throughout, with the silver version as an alternative.
Revision details
Revisions removed the contact button from the header in favour of social media icons, kept the header visible while scrolling, removed a section on the metal machining page and the "Other" heading from the services section on the homepage, moved the blue careers box directly below the contact form and added the company's own video to the hero section.
