The client & summary
Itaflise is a Danish retail store specialising in Italian tiles and accessories for bathrooms, kitchens and more. The core objective was a professional website with an online shop that works for Italian, English and Danish customers and shows prices in both euro and Danish krone.
The challenge
The shop needed three languages, dual-currency pricing and payments that include MobilePay for Danish customers. The client also wanted product catalogues presented attractively, with a download button for each, and a checkout that fits how customers actually buy tiles, including local pickup.
Our solution
Our team built the website in two weeks, from 20 April to 4 May 2026.
Discovery and scope
The brief asked for Italian, English and Danish versions, all major cards plus MobilePay, and extra shop categories for outdoor tiles and accessories.
Design
The first draft was ready on 24 April 2026, with content drafted by our team for the client to confirm before translation. The first revision turned the catalogues page into image cards with a "Download PDF" button. The second reordered the checkout (billing details first, then shipping) and added a local pickup option.
Build and launch
The site runs on WordPress with Elementor and WooCommerce. The translation plugin also handles the currency switch between EUR and DKK. The site was migrated to the live domain on 4 May 2026.
Challenges we solved
Language and currency together: making the shop behave correctly for Danish and Italian customers in one setup.
Selling tiles by the square metre
Tiles are usually bought by area rather than by piece, so the brief included a square-metre tile calculator connected to product quantity and pricing per square metre. This lets customers work out how much they need for a room before adding it to the cart.
Getting languages and currencies right
In the second revision the client reported that the Italian and Danish versions and the switch from euros to Danish kroner were not yet working as expected. Our team fixed the language setup and the currency switch before migration, so the shop works for Italian, English and Danish customers alike.
