The client & summary
English Football Club Berlin (EFCB) is a community football club in Berlin with several teams, welcoming players of all cultures and nationalities. The core objective was a modern website whose main goal is to encourage people to sign up, with a clear registration journey.
The challenge
The brief put registration first: a dedicated, highly visible "How to sign up" section explaining the process step by step. Each team needed accurate information, and the club wanted only its own photos on the site, no stock images.
Our solution
Our team built the club website between May and July 2026.
Discovery and scope
The club supplied a developer brief and a football association homepage as a reference, and left the layout and visual design to our team.
Design
The first draft was ready on 20 May 2026. In the second revision the club shared all its photos, sorted by team. Later rounds replaced every remaining web image with the club's own photos, updated the training times for each team so they are no longer identical, and added a parent's review from the girls' team.
Build and launch
The site runs on WordPress with Elementor, with pages for trials, about us and the teams, calls to join, and a donation section. After five revision rounds it was migrated to the club's server on 21 July 2026.
Challenges we solved
Accuracy at team level: each team page shows its own training times and photos, so new players find the right information straight away.
Five teams, one club
The club has five teams: one girls' team and four boys' teams. Each team page shows its own training times, which were updated in the fourth revision after the club noticed that the first version had used the same times for every team. The site is written in English, in line with the club's international community.
Fixtures from the official source
The navigation includes a fixtures and results menu item that links directly to the club's page on the official football association results portal instead of duplicating the content on the website, so results are always current without manual updates.
