The client & summary
dein maskottchen is an event and entertainment business in Cologne, Germany, offering mascot appearances for events. The core objective was to restore the website, which no longer matched its original design after updates, and to build a premium local SEO setup across its service area.
The challenge
Colours had disappeared, styling was broken and some sections were missing. Before fixing anything, the cause had to be found, so the same problem would not return with the next update.
Our solution
Our team completed the remediation and local SEO setup in one week, from 28 August to 4 September 2026.
Diagnosis
Our team audited the whole site against the original design and reviewed the theme, page builder, plugin versions, licences, PHP version and error logs. The diagnosis found that Elementor Pro was two major versions behind the Elementor core and that an optimisation plugin was breaking the CSS.
Restoration
We updated Elementor, fixed the CSS issue, restored the colour palette, typography and missing sections, removed a duplicate page and checked the result across browsers and devices. A root-cause report gives recommendations for updates, staging and backups.
Local SEO
Our team researched ten keywords and built ten local landing pages for Cologne and surrounding towns such as Bergisch Gladbach and Leverkusen, set up the Google Business Profile with a NAP consistency check, added local business schema and ran an SEO audit with tracking.
