The client & summary
Berufsakademie Rheinland is a vocational training academy in North Rhine-Westphalia specialising in education and qualifications for the rail industry, such as train driver training and retraining. The core objective was a completely new website that explains the training paths, builds trust and generates applications, followed by a premium SEO setup.
The challenge
The existing site did not reflect the academy's professionalism. The new one had to present several training programmes clearly, use the client's own texts exactly as supplied, and speak to young people considering a career in rail.
Our solution
Our team built the website in July 2026 and the SEO setup in August 2026.
Discovery and scope
The brief asked for a new site built from scratch under the same name, with the client's content for each programme.
Design
The first draft was ready on 14 July 2026. In the first revision the header button was changed to "Jetzt bewerben" and imagery was updated to show young people. The second round applied the client's document with page changes, and simulator training was made bookable in the contact flow.
Build and launch
The site runs on WordPress with Elementor, with pages for the AVGS orientation course, work train driver and shunting attendant, train driver and road-rail excavator operator training, plus about and contact pages. It went live in July 2026.
Phase two: premium SEO setup
In August 2026 our team completed the premium SEO scope, including local landing pages, Google Business Profile, local business schema, a Semrush audit, Core Web Vitals, sitemap and robots.txt, Rank Math and Google Search Console, and delivered a final SEO report.
Challenges we solved
Clarity for applicants: each training path has its own page and a direct route to apply.
Same content, new foundation
The previous site did not reflect the quality of the academy, so the new website was built completely from scratch under the same name, with exactly the same content as before. Dated stock photos of people were replaced with more modern images, for example on the orientation course page, where an older man was replaced with imagery of young people who are the course's real audience.
Local visibility
The SEO work included creating and linking the Google Business Profile and checking that name, address and phone details are consistent everywhere, as well as ten local landing pages with the same design and individual content.
