Their focus is on providing comfort and ensuring an optimal indoor climate year-round. The company offers 24/7 emergency repairs and routine maintenance, with a team of experts ready to assist at any time.
Project Goals
The main goal of the project was to create a modern, user-friendly website that showcases AC United HVAC’s expertise in the HVAC industry. The website had to serve as an online extension of their commitment to quality service, offering visitors an intuitive experience while conveying trust and professionalism. A key focus was to emphasize their 24/7 availability for emergency HVAC services, as well as making sure all service offerings were clearly presented in a way that would facilitate customer engagement.
Specific goals included:
- Designing a clean and visually appealing website.
- Ensuring that all HVAC services (installation, repair, maintenance, etc.) were easy to find.
- Creating a streamlined booking system to make scheduling services as simple as possible.
- Highlighting the company's commitment to emergency service with visible 24/7 support information.
- Making sure the website was mobile-optimized and fast-loading.
Challenges
- Service Complexity: HVAC services can be technically detailed, and presenting this information in a way that is both informative and engaging for users was a challenge.
- Mobile Optimization: With a target audience that likely accesses the site on mobile devices, ensuring the website was responsive and functioned seamlessly across various screen sizes was a key consideration.
- Emergency Service Visibility: AC United HVAC's ability to provide 24/7 emergency services needed to be highlighted in a manner that was both clear and accessible to site visitors, without overshadowing other key services.
Solutions
- User-Centered Design: We focused on a minimalist, intuitive design that made it easy for users to find exactly what they were looking for — whether it was an emergency repair, routine maintenance, or system installation. Key service details were highlighted in clear, concise language.
- Mobile-First Approach: The design was mobile-first, ensuring that the website worked flawlessly across smartphones, tablets, and desktops. A mobile-friendly layout, intuitive navigation, and quick loading times were achieved.
- Prominent Emergency Service Callouts: A dedicated “Emergency Service” section was added, with easily visible call-to-action buttons that directed users to immediate contact or booking options. This ensured that visitors who needed urgent help could access the necessary resources quickly.
Outcome
The final product is a modern, professional, and mobile-optimized website that successfully communicates AC United HVAC’s core values of reliability, professionalism, and round-the-clock service. The streamlined design and improved service pages have made it easier for potential customers to navigate the website and contact the company for their HVAC needs. Additionally, the 24/7 emergency service feature is now more prominent, ensuring that AC United HVAC remains the go-to choice for local heating and cooling solutions.

How we built it
Our team designed and built the website between late April and mid-May 2025, starting from a detailed brief about the business, its audience and its brand.
Brief and audience
AC United HVAC is a family-owned company with more than ten years in the trade, serving homes and businesses in the greater Los Angeles area with a fully mobile service team. The site was aimed at homeowners and residential property managers in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley who need installation, maintenance or repair. The brand values to convey were trust, reliability, family-oriented service, affordability and customer satisfaction.
Structure
The brief asked for a one-page website plus legal pages, built so the client could customise it later:
- Services covering AC, central heating, water heating and refrigeration, repair and installation
- Photos of completed projects supplied by the client
- Customer reviews from Google and Yelp to show the company's reputation
- A simple contact form and the full contact details
- A clear note that the team is available 24/7 for emergencies
- Legal pages and GDPR-compliant forms
Brand and design
The design uses the brand's cool blue as the main colour with red as the accent, and the client's own logo and project photos.
Revision and launch
After the first draft, the client asked in the revision round for the 24/7 emergency message at the very top of the landing page, more services, a mention of the 300+ completed installations and a "Contact us for a free quote" call to action. The approved version was then moved from our staging environment to the client's domain in mid-May 2025.
